The Red Mass 2020 and 2021

The Society was grateful for the opportunity to safely celebrate our annual Red Mass during the pandemic. In October of both 2020 and 2021 we convened outside at St. Vincent’s School for Boys in San Rafael for Mass and refreshments.

The Red Mass

The Society was excited to host its annual Red Mass on October 17, 2019. Built upon a tradition begun in the 13th Century, we welcomed the start of the annual court term, celebrating a solemn mass.  In particular, we thank Judge Jeffrey Brand, the recipient of our annual St. Thomas More Award.

The Society was excited to host its first annual St. Thomas More Dinner on June 25, 2019 to celebrate the feast day of our patron saint.  Louis Karlin, a noted St. Thomas More scholar, spoke about St. Thomas More’s views on statesmanship. We were glad to foster an informal, lively discussion with dinner and drinks for all members and other interested parties.
